While 00 Buckshot in a 2-3/4″ shell may contain up to 9 pellets, this smaller diameter lead buckshot has 3 times as many pellets. #4 Buckshot is designed for a tremendous amount of damage at close range. The smaller pellets do not have as much density or range individually as the larger shot sizes, but the muzzle velocity is the same at 1325 feet/second.
